Glass Balustrades for Residential Project in Idre

In scenic Trolltrillet, located in Idre, Balustradedesign supplied custom aluminium glass balustrades to a newly developed residential area with apartments.

Project details:

• 24 Alu Classic glass balustrades – two per apartment
• Powder-coated in black to match the building façade
• No start or end posts – a solution that maximises the view with more glass and fewer vertical elements

The Alu Classic system is known for its excellent value, simple installation, and easy maintenance. It’s one of the most adaptable aluminium balustrades in our range – with multiple options for mounting height and method. It can be installed on top of a surface (with foot plates) or side-mounted for a floating appearance.

Optional Wind Protection

If your balcony or terrace is exposed to strong winds, you can add a windbreak to selected sections of your balustrade – for example, in the corner nearest the wall to create a sheltered seating area. These windbreak panels match the balustrade design but are taller, available in 160 cm or 180 cm height.

Custom Post Colours

The posts are available in standard finishes including natural aluminium, white, black, and textured grey – along with seven additional grey shades. If you’d like a specific RAL colour, we recommend exploring our Alu Color range.

Laminated Safety Glass

All of our glass balustrades come with 8.76 mm laminated safety glass featuring polished and ground edges. The laminated structure consists of two glass panes bonded with a PVB film – which holds the panel together even if one pane breaks.

You can choose between:

• Clear glass
• Opal glass (frosted)
• Grey-tinted glass

For environments subject to repeated impact or stress, we also offer toughened laminated glass. All windbreak sections are always made with toughened laminated glass for extra durability. Learn more about Alu Classic >>
