Alu Classic Glass Balustrades for Zenergy Residential Development
For this project, Balustradedesign supplied and delivered Alu Classic glass balustrades to two identical residential buildings.

Alu Classic is one of our most affordable and flexible aluminium balustrade systems. Designed for ease of installation and long-term durability, it offers a modern look with clean lines and high safety standards.
The system can be mounted either:
- Top-mounted (with footplates)
- Side-mounted (for a floating appearance)
Optional Wind Protection
For balconies and terraces exposed to wind, selected sections of the balustrade can be fitted with taller glass panels (160 or 180 cm) to act as windbreaks. These panels match the rest of the balustrade in style and finish – creating a comfortable, sheltered corner without compromising the overall design.
Post Colours – Standard and Custom Options
Alu Classic posts are available in:
- Natural aluminium
- White
- Black
- Textured grey
- Seven additional grey shades
For bespoke colours, we recommend the Alu Color range, which allows for powder-coating in any RAL colour to match your architecture or outdoor palette.
Laminated Safety Glass
All Alu Classic balustrades come with 8.76 mm laminated safety glass, with polished and ground edges for both safety and appearance.
Glass options include:
- Clear glass
- Opal glass (frosted)
- Grey-tinted glass
For exposed areas subject to repeated impact (e.g. corners, wind-prone balconies), we offer toughened laminated glass as an upgrade. Wind protection panels are always delivered in toughened laminated glass for added durability.
