Spring at Balustradedesign means more than just sunshine – it also marks the launch of three brand-new railings. We’ve developed Arcus, Tenso, and Flow to meet the demand for more specialised solutions for both indoor and outdoor environments. Whether you’re planning a new deck or want to upgrade your balcony, there are now more options than ever in our configurator.
Arcus – A modern glass balustrade that maximises your view
Arcus (formerly Alu Modern) is designed for those looking for an airy glass balustrade without compromising on stability. What sets Arcus apart are the sleek aluminium posts that end well below the top edge of the glass. Instead of traditional glass clamps that protrude from the post, a discreet aluminium rail is used to secure the glass along the post.
This design makes it possible to use wider glass sections, which minimises the number of vertical posts that obstruct the line of sight. It is the perfect choice for a decking balustrade or balcony balustrade where the view takes centre stage.
Benefits of the Arcus series:
- Maximised natural light: Minimalist fittings and lower posts create an open feel.
- Choice of colours: Posts is available in natural (aluminium), white, black, or textured grey.
- Versatility: Works just as well as a stylish indoor partition as it does as a durable outdoor railing.
Tenso – Minimalist wire balustrade with a nautical feel
For those looking for a more discreet boundary at ground level, we are now launching Tenso. This wire balustrade is ideal for creating a stylish transition between, for example, a deck and a garden without blocking the view of the surroundings. The horizontal wires made of acid-resistant stainless steel (AISI 316) provide a distinct nautical touch that stands up to all weather conditions.
Tenso offers great design flexibility. Posts is made of high-quality stainless steel, and you can choose whether you want a matching top rail in steel or add warmth with wood types such as oak or jatoba.
Flow – stainless steel railing with horizontal bars
We are now expanding our line of steel railings with Flow. Unlike our previous models with vertical bars, Flow features horizontal bars. This creates a modern, linear look that is often sought after for functionalist homes and architect-designed villas.
Create your own unique solution with Flow and Tenso:
- Flexible material options: Choose from stainless steel, oak, or jatoba at top rail.
- Custom measurements: Enter your measurements in the configurator, and the number of bars or wires will automatically adjust based on your height.
- Freestanding installation: Flow is designed to stand completely on its own, offering great flexibility in placement on the patio.
Plan for windbreak as an optional feature
Later this spring, we’ll continue to roll out new features. A highly anticipated feature coming soon to our online store is the option to choose windbreak as an add-on for our aluminium and stainless glass balustrades.
You’ll then be able to choose a taller balustrade height (160 or 180 cm) for select sections. It’s the perfect solution for creating a sheltered corner closest to the house wall, so you can enjoy your patio even on windy evenings without having to build an entire sunroom.
