There is no single fence height that applies everywhere. The permitted height depends on local rules, the location and how open or solid the fence is. A low, open fence may be assessed differently from a tall, solid boundary screen. Check the relevant local requirements before deciding on a height.
Location matters too: a fence beside a property boundary or facing a street may be assessed differently from one within the garden. Consider whether its purpose is to mark a boundary, contain children or pets, or provide privacy, and discuss your plans with neighbours where appropriate. On sloping ground, the fence may need stepped sections or to follow the contours of the land.
Verto is a fencing system with a framework of powder-coated aluminium posts, to which you add your own timber slats. The slats are not included, so you can choose the type of timber, colour and appearance you prefer – from narrow slats to wider boards. The result is timber fencing supported by an aluminium framework that will not rot.
The posts accommodate several common slat sizes: 28 × 45, 28 × 70, 28 × 120, 22 × 95 and 45 × 45 mm. The system can also follow corners that are not exactly 90 degrees by cutting the slats to the appropriate angle. Plan the post positions, slat dimensions and corners first, then choose the timber and finish to suit the style of your home.
A well-designed fence combines appearance and practicality for years to come. We make each fence to your measurements at our factory in Ängelholm, with made-to-measure production included as standard. Rather than cutting standard sections on site, you receive a complete kit with consistently sized sections for a neat, considered finish.
Vertical slats are a classic choice for detached homes, modernist houses and period properties. Horizontal slats create a contemporary look that suits new-build homes and grey or black façades. Cross patterns work well in rural settings and on older properties. The fence can follow the shape of a deck around corners and across different levels.
Powder-coated aluminium does not need to be scraped or repainted and is easy to handle during installation.
Verto is our modern aluminium fencing system, often finished in anthracite or black to complement the building's exterior.
Retro takes inspiration from traditional wrought-iron fencing, offering the same classic appearance in powder-coated aluminium. The same profile is also available as a balustrade.
Both systems are available in a range of RAL colours so the fencing can complement the façade and window frames.
Glass fencing helps reduce wind exposure while preserving views of the garden, lake or surrounding landscape. Choose clear, ultra-clear, grey or frosted glass depending on how much privacy you want. Laminated safety glass is used where specified for the product.
Retro Gate is made from the same material and finished in the same colour as the fence, and is supplied with fittings and hinges. We manufacture single gates for pedestrian access, double gates for wider openings and gates designed to blend into longer fence runs – all made to measure for your opening.
Posts and fixings are specified for the wind loads expected in exposed areas. Fixings must be suitable for the substrate and supporting structure. On timber decking, posts must be fixed to structural joists, not just the decking boards.
The manufacturing process is certified to EN 1090-1. Production is regularly monitored by RISE, with a focus on traceability, quality and manufacturing processes.
The price depends on length, height, material and the number of gates. Aluminium fencing generally costs less per metre than glass fencing, while longer straight runs can reduce the price per metre. Our 3D configurator updates the price in real time as you adjust the dimensions, material and colour. Each order is delivered as a complete kit with sections, posts, fixings and installation instructions.
