A good way to find inspiration is to explore completed customer projects and compare how different materials, colours and balustrade styles suit different homes and outdoor spaces. Our photo gallery features decks, balconies and terraces. Seeing real homes can make choosing easier.
Glass balustrades preserve views and give an open feel. Aluminium balustrades suit both modern and traditional homes, stainless steel creates a minimalist look, and wrought-iron-style designs offer a classic appearance. Consider how top rails, posts and colours work with the building exterior, alongside the practical requirements of your site.
Contact us as soon as possible if anything is missing, incorrect or damaged on delivery. Send us your order number, photos and a brief description so we can identify what needs to be resolved. If the packaging is damaged on arrival, ask for the damage to be recorded when you receive the delivery.
Photograph any damaged packaging before opening it, as well as the damage, product and packaging. Compare the items with the delivery note and count all parcels before installation so that any problems are identified promptly. Make a note of any missing parcels. Keep the packaging and damaged parts until the issue has been resolved, particularly in cases of damage in transit.
Your order can be delivered to the address provided or directly to a building site. For larger deliveries containing glass and posts, someone must be available to receive, sign for and inspect the goods, and the site must be accessible to the delivery vehicle. Glass is packed in protective wooden crates or other robust packaging, with posts and fittings grouped and labelled for easier handling.
Check the packaging on arrival and record any visible damage immediately. If collecting from a carrier’s depot, inspect the goods before leaving. If your project is not ready, delivery may sometimes be arranged for a later date – contact us when placing your order.
The invoice is normally sent by email when your order leaves our production facility. If you can't find it, first check your spam folder and other folders in your inbox, as automated emails sometimes end up there. The invoice is sent to the email address provided in the order.
If you still haven't received the invoice, please contact us and we'll check our records and send you a new copy. Please have your order number handy so we can find the correct order and invoice more quickly. Also, please make sure the email address in the order confirmation is correct, since the invoice will be sent there.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. As many products are made to measure, production may begin soon after you order. The sooner you contact us, the more changes may be possible. If production has not started, measurements, colours, quantities or other options can often be changed.
If production has already begun, your options may be limited, since the materials and production process have already been tailored to your order. Therefore, please check your order confirmation as soon as you receive it, and contact us with your order number and details of what you’d like to change if anything is incorrect.
A DoP, or Declaration of Performance, describes the declared performance of a construction product with respect to the characteristics covered by the relevant product standard. It is prepared by the manufacturer and used in conjunction with other technical documentation to assess the product’s characteristics.
Technical information for our balustrade systems is available on the relevant product pages. Depending on the product, this includes Declarations of Performance, technical drawings, installation instructions and information about use classes. This documentation is important for project design, new builds and inspections. A Declaration of Performance does not automatically mean a product is suitable for every application.
A+, A, B and C are Räckesbutiken's own use classes, indicating the intended applications and loads for a particular balustrade configuration. They are not official safety classifications but a guide to help you choose. The relevant class is shown in the configurator as you design.
A+ corresponds to a documented line load of at least 1.0 kN/m, while A and B correspond to at least 0.5 kN/m. Class C indicates limited use or a special configuration. The use class may change when you adjust balustrade height, section width or other options. It must always be considered alongside the requirements of the installation site and does not replace an assessment of loads and fall risk.
Yes, delivery is always free. There are no separate delivery charges on top of the product prices in your order. The price you see in the configurator and at checkout therefore includes delivery, with no hidden delivery charges added at checkout.
The delivery method depends on the size and contents of your order. Larger balustrades, glass panels and other bulky products are securely packaged and transported in a way that suits the goods. Delivery details are provided when you order and in your order confirmation, and we will notify you when your order leaves our factory.
No two installation areas are exactly alike. That's why we make everything to your measurements – from a single handrail to a complete balustrade around a deck. We manage the process from design through to manufacturing at our factory in Ängelholm, and you receive a complete kit with profiles, infill, fixings and installation instructions.
The manufacturing process is certified to EN 1090-1. Production is regularly monitored by RISE, with a focus on traceability, quality and the manufacturing process.
Balustrades are our largest product category. We manufacture glass, aluminium, stainless steel and wire balustrades, wrought-iron-style balustrades made from aluminium, Juliet balcony systems, glass panels and clamps for existing frames, and handrails and top rails. To compare materials before choosing, start with all balustrades.
Where a balustrade is not needed, fencing can define the space. We make made-to-measure fences and gates in powder-coated aluminium and glass, with evenly sized sections throughout. The gates are supplied with fittings and hinges in the same colour as the fencing.
Privacy screens help block views from neighbours and passers-by, using frosted opal glass, closely spaced slats or height-adjustable glass. Windbreaks reduce wind exposure so you can enjoy your patio on breezy days, whether you choose clear or frosted glass. If you need both privacy and wind protection, an opal or grey glass balustrade can provide both in one system.
We also make made-to-measure solar shading products. Patio awnings provide shade in front of the building, while vertical awnings reduce solar heat before it reaches the window, balcony door or conservatory. Both are available in several models with motorised operation and remote controls.
Use our online designer to configure your product and see the price update as you choose dimensions, materials and colours, whether you need a complete balustrade system or a single handrail.
