With glass and clamps, panels can be fitted between your own or existing posts. You order the glass and clamps, while the posts are supplied separately. This makes the system useful for new projects and for replacing the infill of an existing balustrade with glass. A standard installation typically uses four clamps per panel, two on each side.
The posts must be upright and stable. The spacing between them determines the panel width, and their fixings to the supporting structure must withstand the loads on the balustrade. Existing posts may be reused if they are in good condition and suitable for the installation. The system can be used indoors or outdoors, on decking, balconies and lofts.
The glass does not normally need to extend all the way down to the floor or supporting surface. A small gap beneath the glass can make installation easier, allow the lower edge to be cleaned and let water and dirt pass through. The permissible gap depends on where the balustrade is installed.
Openings must be designed to reduce the risk of children squeezing through or becoming trapped, particularly on balconies and in homes. Glass clamps, posts and glass dimensions need to be considered together, as slopes or uneven surfaces may affect the gaps. Follow the balustrade system’s dimensions and installation instructions, and check the applicable local requirements.
If the glass slides in glass clamps, the screws usually need to be tightened, or the grip between the glass, rubber, and bracket is too loose. Check glass clamps before making any other changes to the railing. It’s usually easy to fix yourself with the right tools. Perform this check before making any other changes.
Retighten the glass clamps as instructed in the installation guide and check that the rubber inserts are correctly positioned and match the glass thickness. Clean the contact surfaces, as grease and dirt can reduce grip. Also check that the glass is seated correctly in every clamp and that the posts are stable. If the glass still slips, stop adjusting it and contact us with photos of the glass and clamps.
Glass panels for balustrades have ground and polished edges to provide an even, smooth finish after cutting. This is especially important when the edges remain visible, such as with glass clamps or frameless glass balustrades. Edge finishing contributes to both appearance and quality.
Grinding removes uneven areas and minor edge defects left by cutting, while polishing produces a smooth, refined finish. Glass edges are more vulnerable to damage than flat surfaces, so careful edge finishing helps during transport, handling and installation. With exposed glass edges, such as panels held in clamps, the finish is also part of the design.
The suitable glass thickness depends on the panel size, balustrade system, fixings and loads. Common laminated glass thicknesses used in balustrades include 8.76 mm (two 4 mm panes) and 12.76 mm (two 6 mm panes). Thicker glass is not automatically better or safer.
The glass and fixings must be specified to work together. Consider the post spacing, glass height, type of clamps or profiles and whether the glass is laminated or toughened laminated. The finished glass panel must be slightly smaller than the opening between posts to allow for fittings and installation tolerances.

Core manufactured at our own facility in Ängelholm. Each order is made to measure and delivered with a declaration of performance. The manufacturing process is certified in accordance with EN 1090-1 and is continuously audited by RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) to ensure external quality control and traceability.
We exclusively use laminated safety glass, which minimizes the risk of personal injury and remains intact in the event of damage. The system is designed to meet the requirements of fall protection for height differences, provided that your existing balustrade frame is stable and anchored in accordance with applicable building codes.
Here you will find technical specifications, dimensions, glass details and installation instructions for Core.
This information provides a clear picture of the glass's design, the characteristics of the clamps, and the factors that should be taken into account when planning and installing the glass in your own structure.
8.76 mm laminated glass
Two 4 mm glass sheets bonded with a plastic interlayer. If the glass breaks, the interlayer helps retain the fragments. Supplied with ground and polished edges.
8.76 mm toughened laminated glass
Same construction as our standard laminated glass, but with two toughened glass panels instead. We recommend this glass for environments where the railing may be exposed to repeated external stresses. Comes with ground and polished edges.
Glass options (colour)
When configuring your balustrade, choose clear glass or laminated glass with a grey-tinted or opal interlayer. The coloured or frosted film is positioned between the glass sheets.
Stainless steel glass clamps
You can choose between glass clamps made of zinc (painted the same colour as the railing) or stainless glass clamps made of acid-resistant stainless steel (AISI 316).
Painted glass clamps
In addition to ordering your glass clamps in zinc, stainless steel, or raw zinc, you can also order them painted (black, white, or aluminium-coloured).
Square or rounded
When designing your balustrade, you can choose square or rounded glass clamps.
Made to the millimetre
Enter the hole dimensions—the inside measurement between posts where you want the glass to be installed. Our system accounts for glass clamps. When entering your measurements, please be precise to the millimetre. We manufacture your glass to the millimetre to ensure it fits exactly where you want to place it.
Wide glass panes
For glass panes wider than 1,400 mm, we subtract 44 mm from the height and calculate 6 glass clamps per pane – 1 extra to be attached below and 1 extra to be attached above the glass.
Everything is included with your order
Our shipment includes everything you need for assembly. In addition to glass and glass clamps, it also includes all screws, drill bits, and any special tools. If you have a screwdriver, a wrench, a folding rule, and a level, you really don’t need anything else.
Assembly Videos and Instructions
The videos show various steps to help you with your assembly. Our assembly tips and videos are customised for each order. In other words, these are not general descriptions but are tailored specifically to your order.
Glass
Clean the glass with a window and mirror cleaner and a soft cloth. For stubborn marks, methylated spirits can be used. Then clean again with window and mirror cleaner. Do not use abrasive cleaners on glass.
Stainless Steel glass clamps
Since stainless steel, despite its name, is not corrosion-resistant, all stainless components must be maintained and cleaned 1–3 times a year. If the railing is installed in a coastal environment, cleaning and treatment may need to be performed more frequently. Clean the surfaces with lukewarm water and a mild detergent using a soft cloth.
Lacquered glass clamps
Our lacquered glass clamps require minimal maintenance. If stains occur, a mild detergent, water, and a soft cloth are usually sufficient. Do not use products with abrasive properties, acids, or alkaline agents. Avoid hard impacts with sharp objects, as this can damage the lacquer, allowing moisture to penetrate beneath it.
